Established in 1983, Independence Mortgage Company provides mortgage brokerage, real estate consulting and financial services. Since its inception, the company has financed over $1,000,000,000 in property with over 4,000 clients. In addition, the company engages in real estate consulting and brokerage activities. He has acted as broker in over $25,000,000 of other real estate transactions. He also appears as an Expert Witness in legal matters relating to real estate financing and loan fraud.
Active in community affairs, he was President of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra from 1989 to 1992 and Chairman of the Board from 1992 to 1994 and was elected to the position of President Emeritus, a new position created to honor his contributions to the Symphony.
He was Chairman of the Orange County Roundtable, served on the Board of Trustees of the Laguna Art Museum, and was a founder of the Newport Taxpayers Alliance.
He is author of two best-selling mortgage books, HOW TO SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON YOUR HOME MORTGAGE published in 1998 and the second edition was published in 2002. HOW TO FIND A HOME AND GET A MORTGAGE ON THE INTERNET was published in October 2000.
